Links & Observations

Do you know what you are paying for?

The attached article focuses on pet insurance specifically and points out limits in coverage, including no coverage for the things you would expect your dog or cat to be doing.

The same concerns about limits in your coverage apply to all insurance and particularly, disability, critical illness and travel insurance.

Know what you are buying when you buy it. Read the Policy. Ask questions. Accidental injury or accidental death coverage, for example, most often contains very specific restrictions on what is covered. Pre-existing conditions are also often defined in the policy and depending upon your history they can dis-entitle you from benefits at claim time.
